R.E.D.’s quality control process includes regular inspections of product from, the time of arrival at our premises, through the various stages of production, to the stacking and packing of the finished items prior to delivery to your site. The process also includes ensuring the traceability of all materials used in both the abrasive blasting and application of protective coatings stages of production.

We can also provide a customized “Client QA Program” for your project while you are at the tendering stage. These booklets include sample inspection reports, work method statements, an inventory of the testing equipment used as well as the inspection and reporting procedures that would be employed by R.E.D. throughout the duration of the work.

Our in-house Quality Assurance programme, specifically designed by R.E.D., meets the demanding requirements of both Government departments as well as some of the foremost companies in the building and construction industry.

R.E.D.’s QA strategy includes climatic observations and reports, together with abrasive blasting inspections and coating application tests and reviews. These are carried out with the use of state of the art equipment. Our personnel conducting these inspections are qualified and experienced, having earned due accreditation as Level 1 Protective Coatings Inspectors.

Detailed QA reports are registered by R.E.D. and are available on request. The goal of providing top quality finished product is shared by both R.E.D.’s management and staff.

Through an initiative of the Australian Federal Government a nationally based Quality Assurance system was established for our industry. The CSIRO administers the scheme known as the Painting Contractor Certification Program (PCCP). R.E.D. has met the necessary criteria to be one of the few “workshop” based accredited coating specialists (PCCP registration number #0036).

The PCCP system includes not only quality control and quality assurance but also Occupational Health and Safety, employee education and training, supervision and work methods. Having met the necessary criteria for the original certification and third party reviews for the continuation of that endorsement, R.E.D. has been selected as the preferred applicator for projects for the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW, Victoria’s VicRoads, the Australian Navy, upgrades on RAAF bases in New South Wales and Queensland, various large scale mining operations, Sydney Water plant upgrades and many other prominent retail and industrial developments.
